I started my professional life with writing and making French translations for magazines and newspapers in Istanbul. When I was studying French Language in college, I was also working as a journalist and editor. I wrote art, culture, fashion and music articles. I published interviews and managed editorial teams for many years.
I moved to San Francisco Bay Area in 2007. First, I worked as a creative manager in the South Bay then I started to work on my independent music game project Beat the Game as a producer and writer. We released the game in 2017. We won a bunch awards and nominations in the States and in Europe.
I find that the photography is a perfect fit for my current life. After all other creative professional experience, it is a great way to put everything I have learned together in a visual form... With my debut exhibit at Brix 581, I started to print and sell my work.
With this website, YesimOutThere.com, I decided to publish everything creative I produce, starting with my photographs. Because in art, I learned that the way to success starts with putting yourself out there.
